OPEN AUDITIONS

C.A.S.T. (Community Arts Service Troupe)
Audition Date: May 29, 2013
Time: Evening (an audition time will be sent to you when you register)
Ages: Students entering 7th-12th grade (Fall 2013) - no exceptions
Registration: Email your name, address, phone number and grade (Fall 2013) with "CAST audtions" in the subject line to loufazzini@mac.com Once you are registered, we will send an audition time and audition pieces (a theatre scene and vocal music piece) to be learned for the auditions.

INFORMATION: On May 29, 2013 we will be holding open auditions for our newly created performance program, C.A.S.T. (Community Arts Service Troupe). The ATWAS C.A.S.T. program is an elite performance program designed for students interested in advanced learning in theatre arts. This year long program provides students the opportunity to perform in a variety of venues and shows from the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts series, to storytelling and musical theatre performance throughout our community. Our qualified staff offers training with students throught the year to hone and expand their theatrical skills. In addition, members receive professional training through our "Teaching Shakespeare Program" in partnership with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. C.A.S.T. members are invited to participate in our annual performance trip(s) (Last years students are performing at Disney World this summer!). For a low yearly tuition fee of $400 your student will get a year's worth of quality theatre arts and performance training.

About ATWAS

Our School of the Dramatic and Performing Arts is a theatre arts training program for a 3rd through 12th grade student population. Our fall and winter semester programs offer the areas most comprehensive learning experience for students, both on and off stage.
Our Family Performance Series at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts and Gray's Opera House is an open audition process for students in 3rd-12th grade. Presenting several shows each season, this series provides our students the opportunity to apply learned theatre skills in a professional setting. This popular and successful Family Theatre Series reaches audiences of between 7,000 - 8,000 patrons annually. Please see our current brochure for audtion and performance information
