About the Course

AUDITION INTENSIVE / PRE-COLLEGE AUDITION PREP

For Grades 9, 10 & 11

This class aims to prepare actors for the rigorous and highly competitive audition process, which in recent years, goes far beyond learning the words and melody of their audition pieces. Students will gain insight into material selection and build their repertoire of monologues/songs, as well as work on dynamics and script analysis of their choices. This class provides the opportunity to prepare and practice material to ensure actors are ready for the challenges of auditions, as well as gives each student personal mentoring and coaching to guide them throughout the process. This class will also explore college Musical Theatre and Acting programs to help those interested in continuing in college gain and understanding of how to choose a college program prior to entering their Senior year of high school.

Session dates: This class meets in person for in-class work time and will offer additional meetings over Zoom for individual work and personal mentoring with our staff if needed.
